Donald Trump is not really a billionaire? Say it ain't so!
For years now rumors have circulated that Donald Trump is not a billionaire but a mere centi-millionaire. These rumors appear to stem, at least in part, from a recent book, Trump Nation: The Art of Being the Donald. Trump subsequently sued the author and publisher claiming that it damaged his reputation. According to Trump, his net worth is closer to $2.7 billion.
Now Trump has lost his bid to have the book's author reveal his sources on Trump's true net worth:

CAMDEN, N.J. — An author doesn't have to reveal his sources for a book in which he claimed Donald Trump's wealth was in the millions, not billions.
The ruling by a New Jersey appellate panel Friday reverses a 2006 decision to compel the disclosure.
Trump sued author Timothy O'Brien and Time Warner Book Group over the book "TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald." It claimed Trump was worth between $150 million and $250 million.
Trump says the book damaged his reputation and argues that his fortune was closer to $2.7 billion.
The judges wrote that details of Trump's life are matters of public interest and therefore are protected.
Numerous publishers of books, magazines and newspapers had joined the appeal, as well as broadcasters and other media organizations, including The Associated Press. (Source)
If this is indeed true, it's a sad day. However, I will continue to look upon Donald Trump as one of the great showman of American business who has provided the nation with countless hours of entertainment.
In Art of the Deal Trump admitted that his father was already worth about 150 million when he started out in real estate. 150 million in 1970s dollars is worth far more than Donald's current estimated 250 million. From this we could deduce that Donald is less of a success than his dad was.

The fact that he has so much time for nonsense like TV shows has always made me wonder about him and what was really up. No other billionaire has time for anything but business.

Leave Trump alone. The dude is a billionaire anyway you throw it. While he may not have a billion in liquid cash, he has assets valued at over a billion bucks so by net worth, he is a billionaire.
